Deliverance From The Valley

The very word valley is defined as a low area of land between two hills or mountains, typically with a river or stream flowing through it. Then Biblically valley can be defined as a hard circumstance. Just imagine walking through a dark area of your life; not having much light because of mountains or obstacles, feeling every cold breeze, and not knowing what is on the other side of the mountain waiting to pounce you at any given moment! But there is hope, STILL in the valley. There is a good shepherd that guides the way; even in danger the shepherd guides the way, protects and comforts!

Looking at Psalm 23:4 it says, Yea, though I walk ( not run because of fear or terror) through the valley of the shadow (cold and not much light) of death, I will (not maybe) fear no evil; for thou art with me; (being my shepherd and not leaving my side) thy rod (protect) and thy staff (guide) they comfort me (console).

Walking through a sunless valley means that we have to depend on the light, which is Jesus! He is the good shepherd and no other voice shall we follow. Yes, we have many ways to hear from Jesus (God manifested in the flesh), but the main source of guidance should come from the word (Bible). Reading to have a relationship for ourselves and to also know when to receive messages from others.

Then we see that Psalm 23:6 it says, Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: And I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

It did not talk about the enemy following! Nor, did it talk about defeat! We have to reassure ourselves that the enemy will not win! We are victorious through the blood of Jesus Christ! No fighting, because we are following the good shepherd.

Then we can use the word to speak over our lives.

Like in 2 Chronicles 20:17 we can say, Ye shall not need to fight in this battle: set yourself, stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord with you ( place your name) fear not, nor be dismayed.

Or use Psalms 27:13-14 for it says, I would have despaired had I not believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait for and confidently expect the Lord; Be strong and let your heart take courage; Yes, wait for and confidently expect the Lord.

Then in Job 22:28 it says, Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways.

As we pray to the Father of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ, we can ask for clear guidance and for light to be shined upon our way. For the Lord is our shepherd and we shall not want no good thing!
