Scriptural Prayers!
Scriptural Prayers are prayers taken from the word of God and often prayed in first person.
In Isaiah 55:11 So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return unto Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.
The Bible is God's words written to give us basic instructions before leaving Earth. He says His word will not return unto him void, so He will deliver on that promise.
We can take God's word and turn them into detailed/personalized prayers (scriptural) as follows.
Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ whom strengthens me.
Psalm 107:20 He sent His word, and healed me, And delivered me from my destructions.
Philippians 4:19 But my God shall supply all my need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
Psalm 29:11 The Lord will give strength unto me; The Lord will bless me with peace.
Matthew 8:7 And Jesus will come and heal me!
Psalm 27:14 I wait for and confidently expect the Lord; I am strong and I let my heart take courage; Yes, I wait and confidently expect the Lord.
2 Corinthians 5:7 I walk by faith, not by sight!
Philippians 4:6-7 I don't worry about anything; instead, I pray about everything. I tell God what I need, and thank Him for all He has done. I will experience God's peace, which exceeds anything I can understand. His peace will guard my heart and mind as I live in Christ Jesus.
Matthew 7:7 I ask, and it shall be given me; I seek, and I shall find; I knock, and it shall be opened unto me.
Isaiah 26:3-4 Thou wilt keep me in perfect peace, because my mind is stayed on thee: because I trust in thee. 4. I trust in the Lord forever: for in the Lord Jehovah is my everlasting strength.
Joshua 1:9 Have not I been commanded? Be strong and of a good courage; and to not be afraid, neither to be dismayed: for the Lord my God is with me whithersoever I go!
Then there are scriptures already in first person that we can recite right from the Bible.
Psalm 40:1-3 I waited patiently for the Lord; And He inclined to me, and heard my cry. He also brought me up out of a horrible pit, Out of the miry clay, And set my feet upon a rock, And established my steps. He has put a new song in my mouth—Praise to our God; Many will see it and fear, And will trust in the Lord.
Psalm 23 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow my all the days of my life; and I will dwell in the house of the Lord Forever.
And in this passage of scriptures it speaks of God being our good shepherd, and how He provides all that we need in a peaceful way. Then it speaks of Him comforting us and giving us goodness and mercy. Hallelujah!
There are many more scriptures that can be turned into scriptural prayers tapping into the God given power that is given unto us to change our circumstances and situations. As you read ask God to open up your eyes and understanding to fully know what He is saying to the church.
