Keeping the Commands
Being a believer and Christian we are supposed to keep God's commandments. Most Christians know them and keep them to the best of their ability. We know not to steal, kill, covet our neighbor, and honor our parents, which we learn from Exodus chapter 20. I would like to focus on God's first command and Jesus's last. First we are commanded to not have any gods before our God, the God of Love. Exodus 20:3 You shall have no other gods before me. 1 John 4:16 And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is Love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them. Then we are told to love God, whom first loved us! Mark 12:30 Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul ad with all your mind and with all your strength. 1 John 4:19 We love because He first loved us.
